Fix It Week: Helping You Fix It For Less

Fix It Week - Fix It For Less With BuySpares

Did you know that roughly 23% of electric and electronic waste collected from municipal sites is still in good order and only requires a small amount of repair to get it working again? Yet, we are fast becoming a throw away nation – being prepared to spend money on replacing rather than repairing appliances.

However, there’s no reason why you cannot repair your faulty household and garden appliances, for less than it costs to repair them. And to help you fix it for less, BuySpares are once again supporting Fix It Week – in the hope to encourage you to repair rather than replace your faulty / broken appliances.

What Is Fix It Week?

Fix It Week, which runs in the penultimate week of October, was first launched last year. The week is aimed at encouraging everyone to “fix it” – no matter what “it” is, from broken and faulty household / garden appliances, to general DIY.

The week is also a chance for DIY experts and novices alike to come together to share tips, guidance and advice on how to carry out a variety of “fix it” tasks, as well as support to encourage more people to repair rather than replace the faulty product at hand.

How Are BuySpares Celebrating Fix It Week?

At BuySpares, our ethos is to “repair rather than replace”, which is why we are proud to support Fix It Week, for the second consecutive year.

During the week, we will be sharing with via our social media accounts a range of DIY tips, advice and guidance – helping you to feel confident in carrying out an appliance repair, no matter how small or large it may be.

We’ve also got a fantastic competition lined up, and an array of promotions – helping you enhance your toolbox and your DIY skills for less. We’d also love you to get involved in the week, so share your DIY stories, tips and tricks with us – either through our blog or social pages. Who knows, your tips and advice may just feature in future BuySpares posts.

You can find out more about Fix It Week and how BuySpares got involved in it last year, by reading our post “BuySpares Sign Up to National Fix It Week” – and remember, to check our social pages and blog throughout this week (and beyond) for tips, guidance and advice – helping you repair rather than replace it for less.
