Sanyo Microwave Recall – Are You Affected?

Important Announcement!

If you own a Sanyo microwave with the model number EM-C8787B UK2 or EM-C8787W then you need to stop using it immediately as the product has a fault which can cause a severe electric shock!

According to the official Sanyo website, microwaves with these model numbers sold in the UK and Ireland from March 2010 up to the first half of January 2012 may cause an electric shock during operation. The advice to all affected customers from Sanyo is to “stop using their microwave ovens immediately and unplug the power cord”.

The fault is due to some of the printed circuit boards within the internal control panel having electrical contact with the small buttons on the external control panel. For more information on the microwaves affected and what to do if you own one of the specified models, please read the Official Sanyo Announcement.
