This first recipe makes suet wreaths to hang on trees around your garden. Suet is a high energy food predominantly made up of animal fats. Since birds metabolism rates are extremely fast, this is a great source of heat and energy for them.

Birds will love the smell of oranges mixed in with the bird feed. This is such a simple fun DIY bird feeder. You can make plenty of these and hang them all around the garden to attract and feed the birds. You will need:

  • 1 Orange
  • (4) Pieces of string, cut into 24″ lengths

This recipe looks like you are making cookies. Use cookie moulds you have to craft a bird seed mixture into funky shapes, that you can hang from bushes and trees in your garden. You will need:

  • 1 Sachet of gelatine
  • Twine or string
  • Cookie cutters, molds or mason jar lids

This recipe is a great one for the kids to get involved with. It can get a bit messy but, if you make sure you set up a station outside, then it will be easier to clean up, and you won’t have bird seed all over your house. You will need:
