In 2011 Bosch issued a product recall for a number of dishwasher models and some of these models are yet to be accounted for. The fault affects Bosch Dishwashers manufactured between 1999 and early 2005 purchased and used in the United Kingdom only.  In a small number of cases the fault has caused fires and if you have a faulty machine you should contact Bosch for a repair to correct the issue.

How Do I Know If My Dishwasher Is Affected?

The affected dishwashers are in the batch number range from FD 7901 to FD 8504. Dishwashers which are outside the above batch number range are not affected. Similarly if you had a repair completed when this fault was announced in 2011 you will not need another, however to check your machine has been corrected there should be blue sticker with the letter R stuck to the inside panel of the dishwasher door.

How To Find Your Batch Number?

The E-NR (model number) and FD (batch) number will be located on a rating plate that will be located on the appliance. Once you have located this information then you should follow this link and enter the details in the finder provided.
