Have You Heard About The Magic of iRobot?

No, we’re not talking about the dystopian science-fiction film starring Will Smith. iRobot is a company that has created something to actually make housework cool – an automatic, programmable vacuum cleaner!
The ‘Scooba’ model is rechargeable, works entirely independently of manual operation, and due to its scheduling feature that enables you to instruct it when exactly to vacuum, you can rest easy in the knowledge that another mundane household task has been taken care of at the time you need it to be. After all, the novelty of blasting out ‘I Want To Break Free’ by Queen mid-vacuum and miming the words into the brush attachment can start to wear thin after a while…or am I the only who does that?
Anyone else?
No, just me then…
The iRobot Scooba can clean up to eighty square metres – about three or four average home sized rooms – on a single charge (taking about 3 hours to reach maximum charge capacity), and will automatically return to its charging home base when the battery is running low. Once it has finished charging, the Scooba resumes its cleaning duties, just as you do after your sit down and a cup of tea.
The vacuum automatically adjusts to different cleaning surfaces such as carpets and hard floors, and can sense dirtier areas that require more thorough cleaning. Due to its small stature the Scooba can clean under obstacles and furniture such as tables and sofas, and with its intelligent feature that detects and avoids drops and steps, the vacuum can be left to do its stuff with almost no requirement for you to do anything. In fact, the only thing that you need to do is empty it when it gets full!
If your time is important to you, or if you’re a fan of the Star Wars films and fancy seeing something resembling a flattened R2-D2 zipping its way round your front room and annoying your dog, then an iRobot vacuum cleaner is for you.
BuySpares stocks both the iRobot Scooba and a range of consumables for it, all of which can be found via the iRobot manufacturer’s page.

Failing that, it might be time to change to a new housework song. ‘Heaven Is A Place On Earth’ by Belinda Carlisle might be a good choice, but feel free to leave your own suggestions in the comments section below.
