We’re Doing the Great Midlands Fun Run!
June 1, 2011 | What are we up to? | No comments
We’re proud to announce that a whopping 32 of our esteemed colleagues are set to take part in the Great Midlands Fun Run this Sunday June 5th. All the sponsorship money they raise will be donated to the John Taylor Hospice in Birmingham.
The annual Great Midlands Fun Run has been going since 2003, with the aim to raise financial support for charities and voluntary organisations primarily across the Midlands. To date over £1 million has been raised throughout the eight runs that have taken place, and a fair few wacky outfits have graced their pathways too!
Covering an 8.5 mile route, the Fun Run kicks off in Sutton Coldfield Town Centre and through Sutton Park. But there’s no competitive edge to it; all ages and abilities are encouraged to take part to raise money for a local cause that they care about.
We’ve not been privy to any of the potential costumes that our runners have planned at the time of writing, but will definitely keep you updated on their success, so stay tuned and join us in wishing them the best of luck!
